In Godard's film "In Praise of Love," Edgar is reluctant to admit to anyone even himself that he is in love with a woman we know as Berthe. He says to his producer and others, who are knowledgeable about the art world that "she's no Berthe Morisot". Of course, Morisot was a French Impressionist Painter (1841-1895) who was married to Manet.
